Laboratory Testing Services
ChoicePoint has assembled a laboratory provider network to meet its customers' needs. The laboratories used by ChoicePoint are Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services (SAMHSA)-certified laboratories that also carry certifications of other accreditation programs from the College of American Pathologists, Clinical Laboratory Improvement Act and Drug Enforcement Agency. To maintain SAMHSA certification, a laboratory must pass and is continually subject to rigorous quality assurance standards and blind specimen proficiency testing.

ChoicePoint links electronically to our nationwide network of laboratory partners, which means that we have immediate access to your test results as they become available. This ensures fast turnaround time and helps eliminate errors that occur through repetitive data entry.

Medical Review Officer (MRO) Services
In order to ensure the integrity of all test results, ChoicePoint uses in-house Medical Review Officers, each of which is accredited by the American Association of Medical Review Officers, for medical review and consultation of all positive test results. A staff of 12 certified MD MROs conduct all medical examinations and interviews. ChoicePoint provides the administrative review of all test results, whether positive or negative, before they are ultimately reported to our client.

Our MRO services are offered as part of a complete ChoicePoint solution, or they can be used to complement an existing drug testing program.

Specimen Collection
Specimen collection follows strict chain of custody procedures that are critical to the accuracy and integrity of the testing process. We use both urinalysis and hair analysis processes and also provide breath alcohol technicians for alcohol abuse programs. Our nationwide network of more than 11,000 collection sites ensures convenient coverage of our client's company locations. On-site specimen collection is also available.

Rapid Drug Screening
ChoicePoint offers instant saliva testing through a point-of-collection drugs-of-abuse system for detecting marijuana (THC), cocaine, opiates, methamphetamine and Ecstasy. The instant saliva device detects the presence of specific illegal substances within minutes. Also available is an instant urine drug testing device, which can be administered anywhere, anytime.

National Scheduling Center
In an effort to assist customers with a centralized, reliable method of scheduling drug screening services on a nationwide basis, ChoicePoint offers a national scheduling center (NSC). The NSC is accessible via a toll-free number, Monday - Friday, 8am - 6pm EST. A collection site is identified and an appointment is scheduled and confirmed while the applicant or employee remains on the phone, eliminating the need for return calls and messages. Written appointment confirmation is then sent to the collection site for each person, ensuring that proper procedures are consistently followed for each collection.
