Employee and Applicant Fingerprint Solution (EAFS™)

EAFS is designed to help organizations that are required to submit fingerprints to federal or state agencies for background purposes. EAFS helps organizations collect, authenticate and transmit personal and biometric data more efficiently. The EAFS application is easily integrated with existing live-scan devices or can be displayed using a personal computer (running Windows 2000) and an FBI-approved desktop scanner.

• INTEGRATION - EAFS integrates with any live-scan device and works with any FBI-certified desktop scanner. Using EAFS, customers can deploy a low-cost solution (desktop scanner) with the same functionality as a high-end live-scan system. In addition, companies using live-scan machines can operate in a device-agnostic environment.
• CAPTURE - ChoicePoint offers convenient capture locations and standard procedures for the collection of fingerprints.
• DATA AUTHENTICATION - ChoicePoint verifies the identity of the people you fingerprint prior to the submission of the fingerprints to federal or state agencies.
• PROCESSING - ChoicePoint captures and forwards biometric data to the appropriate channeling agents for biometric verification.
• TRANSMISSION - ChoicePoint encrypts and transmits biometric data in a secure manner.
• FUNCTIONALITY - EAFS scores the quality of the fingerprints prior to submission, increasing the likelihood of acceptance by the FBI.
• PROFILE VERIFICATION - EAFS uses ChoicePoint Authentication Solutions products to verify the personal applicant or employee data input into the application. Organizations can be assured that applicant data is valid before fingerprints are submitted to a federal or state database.
